Alert: OpTic All-In on Betting Platform
Also news on a new feature called "The Path" at The Esports Advocate.
Hello and happy Tuesday morning! Just a quick note to tell you about a couple of things I have worked on in the last couple of days that I am super proud of and that I hope you will take the time to check out.
The first went out this morning as 7 a.m. EST from
. As many of you may know, I have been the editor of the Sharpr newsletter for awhile but today I did my first collaboration with and about a new betting platform called “NextGen Wagering.” The new platform is being backed by Hersh Family Investments, with OpTic Gaming signing a letter of intent to be its marquee esports partner. The group is looking to raise $7.5M USD to get the ball rolling. You can read more about it here:Also of note, I have launched a new long-form content series on The Esports Advocate called “The Path.” In this new series we highlight esports and gaming professionals of all ages as they find their way to success in the space in conventional and unconventional ways. Our first profile is on Reed Rosen, a 20-something college student who went from playing Fortnite to representing a small pool of pro Fortnite players and content creators. It’s a long read but an interesting tale worth checking out.
Finally, because you let me intrude on your Tuesday morning, here’ a tip: This afternoon we will have an exclusive conversation with a former eUnited executive who has found a new home after the org shut down in January. Be on the lookout for that and have a great week!
