ICYMI: Whistleblower Takes Aim at Galaxy Racer
An email blast to GXR investors, executives, and media outlet lays out a litany of complaints against the Dubai-based esports organization.
On Wednesday afternoon The Esports Advocate published a story that you might have missed about Galaxy Racer. An email sent Monday to Dubai-based Galaxy Racer’s top executives (CEO Paul Roy and Chief of Staff Walid Singer), media outlets (who have not covered it, as of this writing), GXR NA employees, and North American investors (Billie Jean King Enterprises, Elysian Park, and R/GA Ventures) claims that the company is six weeks behind in paying staff in North America (which includes Galaxy Racer NA and Her Galaxy), and that employees have been forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Further the whistleblower also alleges that vendors in North America and content creators under the GXR Elite label have also not been paid for their work in months and that men are being prioritized over women when people do get paid. The sender also contends that GXR owes influencer and content creators Noor Stars $1M in payments related to brand deals and $5M in back payments to Nigma Galaxy.

Fun fact: did you know that Galaxy Racer is one of several portfolio companies of the Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Maktoum Private Office? Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Maktoum got in some hot water in August of 2021 involving the distribution of Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccines in Ghana. Ultimately he ended up refunding millions of dollars to the government when the deal went awry.
