The Other Side....
I no longer have a voice box...
On the evening of March 16, 2026, I woke up after a six -seven hour surgery where a team of doctors removed my voice box and lymph nodes. They also took a two foot skin graft off my left leg, and created a skin graft on my neck. All of this was done so that I don’t die from cancer.
I [also] wanted to say hello in my own voice, which was officially removed on March 16, 2026, by a team of doctors at Mass General in Boston.
The voice box was riddled with cancer and would have killed me if it remained.
This voice was re-created from two hours of audio from interviews I conducted at The Esports Advocate, before on was diagnosed with cancer.
The point of this voiceover is to show that technology has the ability to bridge some gaps in the future if we really put some effort into using and developing it…
Also the photo above probably looks worse than it is right now; yeah there is a bit of pain presently but we’re working at it and trying to get back home… There is LOT of work left to do…
Also of note, I want to thank everyone helping The Esports Advocate out over the last several weeks including Trent Murray, Dom Sacco, Yushi Wang, Tobias Seck, Graham Ashton, and many others. Some are familiar, some are new, and others bring a fresh perspective that I hope you will find insightful and entertaining…
We’ll talk more in then future about where we are headed and what we can do in this new reality we all find ourselves in, but know that I love you, I miss you and I want to be back with you talking about this world we call esports...
Special thanks to Kayla and Caitlin, for taking care of my medical needs all night!

Happy to hear you're on the mend! All the best
You're an inspiration, keep fighting!
